Storys core Caesar (Andy Serkis), the human-like intelligence and emotions, an experimental drug that has gained a chimpanzee. The drug's creator, Will Rodman (James Franco) and a primate Caroline Aranha (Freida Pinto), as a child raised by Caesar ultimately finds himself taken from the humans he loves and imprisoned ape sanctuary in San Bruno. Seeking justice for his fellow inmates, Caesar gives the same drug that he inherited from the other apes.
